Windows ASP Component Installated on Servers

Hello,

Following are few of windows ASP components that are installed on Windows Reseller Servers :

- CDOSYS
- JMail
- ASPMail
- ASPEmail
- ASPUpload
- ASPJpeg
- AspPDF

You can some more components in your reply in case you think those should also be included on a Windows Reseller Server.

CDONTS is an obsolete component and is completely removed from Windows Server 2003. CDOSYS email component replaced the old Microsoft's email component CDONTS. It is recommended now to use CDOSYS instead of CDONTS when emailing from ASP.

Yes that's very true. However there are lots of people who prefer CDONTS even if CDOSYS is lot better than it. It's just the matter of the mindset that they have got or have been recommended by some Geek

Thumbs up

CDO (Collaboration Data Objects) is a Microsoft technology that is designed to simplify the creation of messaging applications.

CDOSYS is a built-in component in ASP. We will show you how to use this component to send e-mail with ASP.

Microsoft has discontinued the use of CDONTs on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003. If you have used CDONTs in your ASP applications, you should update the code and use the new CDO technology.

Matt
