Moving new properties.

Dear Micfo.com,

After a sequence of new property acquisitions, we will be moving quite a few new sites to Micfo.com.

A few questions:

1. Most of the properties are vBulletin-run communities (one is soon to hit 2500 members). Will such property put a heavy load on our server? So far, even though there are many members, it does not consume much GB or take much space per se, but it is the database load we're worried about. We do not want to put any pressure on the environment, cause any disturbance to other managed properties of ours, our make the forums slower, which certainly something that forum members never appreciate.

2. Will the webalizer statistics be saved or set to nil when moved from another host's account to Micfo.com? Is there a possibility/suggestion on how to save that kind of data and continue with it here?

Best,

Dear Artashes,

Thank you so much for your continued interest in Micfo International webhosting services.

With regards to your questions, here are the answers:

- Due to the nature of vBulleting that are MySQL based, a busy forum with 2000 members cannot be hosted on a regular shared server.

We have servers designated and built specially for such heavy loaded websites and forums such as yours. We recommend our clients or wanna-be-clients to apply for our high-end package MG Deluxe if they have such heavy loaded websites, since the servers hosting this package are the high-end servers, and normally we do not host more than 20 of these sites on a server.

- As far as your second question is concerned, if the current hosting provider offers Cpanel as it's control panel, chances are that we would be able to move all your data, including files, emails, databases, webalizer stats and etc. automatically from their server. However if you are creating a new account and planning to move your data yourself, I'm afraid the webalizer stats starts from beginning.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
