Ticket Email Times

I just wanted to point this out, but when I submit a ticket for what ever reason, I don't get the confirmation email till like 4-5 days later. It has the correct date but it's just sending me the email saying I posted a ticket really really late.

Thanks,

Very wierd. I know a couple of months back the ticket system had a misconfiguration in queue, therefore it was taking days for them to appear in the backend system. I wonder if there's a similar issue now. I'm sure Russell will look into it.

TWDesigns,

maybe it would help if you give your server name and the original dates of the tickets, for debugging.

I had the same problem with Greenwich in the past but since the migration to Japan i do not have this problem anymore.

Tommy,

Not sure when exactly you submitted the ticket, but if it was about 7-10 days ago, that's when we were moving the support.micfo.com and members.micfo.com to a new server as it had outgrown the server.

If it was a recent issue, please let us know as well so we can correct the issue.

Sincerely,
Amir.

It's not a matter of unresolved issues or anything just to be clear. It's just sending me the notifications 4-5 days later.

For example on the 8th I submitted Ticket Number FLY-91654.
It was resolved in about 10 min (as in most cases)

On the 13th I got the conformation email saying I had submitted ticket FLY-91654, but it came in listed as if it was sent on the 8th. I have no email problems with any of my accounts, just seems to be the ticket system.

It may be fixed now, hopefully I won't have to test it anytime soon to find out.

I'm on Texas or something like that I think. Thanks for the replies and the site/forums are looking good!

One of the replies from earlier just came through, nearly 12 hours later. Looks like there is a clog somewhere.

Email Delays

Greetings,

Just curious, were any of them happens to be one of the big three email accounts, like gmail.com, hotmail, yahoo? Since the one to yahoo is pretty well known since I seen lot of issues with emails sent to yahoo get delayed quite a bit, but there nothing much I can do about that one.

I'm using my domain accounts (mail.domain.com) to get emails. I had submitted another ticket right after the one above for a different issue and that confirmation email just arrived this morning (3 days later).

The date showing for the email is 5/18/2007 in my inbox but the header shows Deliver Date: Mon, 21 May 2007 06:16:18 -0500

Mine ticket response is fine, do you email them or actually send a ticket? I think sending an email may result in slower response as there is no indication to it's urgency.

Tommy,
I agree -- that's so strange. Again try submitting directly from members section instead of initiating through your email to see if we can determine where the bottleneck is.

Russell,
Have there been any incidents of "slow" email inbound to servers? Could this at all be the result of spam filters?
