Amir, a suggestion, a soft blue colour tends to work well and puts people in a happy mood.

lol maybe hideous was too strong of a word. I have since gotten used to it, but I will still say I am not a fan of it. I do agree with the keeping with the companies colour scheme though. As I said, maybe just another option and have this as the default...yet the problem with that is, it is a colour that you get used to over time, initally I think it is a bit of a put off, so it might not be good as a default skin.

OH!!!!! actually, if you want another idea (sorry, I do a lot of skinning for my site, so I enjoy playing around with it), I think you should go to an off-white background with the green. I think the black backdrop just accentuates the green more and is a difficult contrast. I suspect that with a lighter background, the green will not be so painful, initially, on the eyes

Hopefully that is helpful, sorry to be so negative :(

We can give it a try and do some changes to the background and see what you guys think. We'll do some tomorrow and ask for some suggestions.

Sincerely,
Amir.

One other thing I would suggest is maybe having a few more people hanging around to clean up the junk that gets posted and locking out the IPs and ID of the ones posting the junk/SPAM.

Will checkout anything you put up....

well, just simply edit the forums guests can post in and improve the COPPA, which isn't too hard...simply add some new fonts in

I had a spam bot issue on my site and I just added new fonts...not a problem anymore

I think the green's just generally too bright along side so much black/dark grey.

As for the CAPTCHA images*, I had spam registrant problems with my phpBB install and all I did was changed the case of one of the variable names (as a lot of them were direct requests and not even registering properly) and blocked any registration that had the page as its own referrer (e.g. index.php has index.php as a referrer, then register.php has register.php as a referrer, and so on - always a give away!). Those two minor changes cut all spam registrations without resorting to additional fonts or images or anything

* COPPA is the stupid American legislation that somehow enforces itself on to every webmaster, no matter what their nationality, as soon as they even remotely have an idea that they might be accepting registration details from US teens (and the 'identifiable details' include such simple things as their email address, which is generally the core requirement for registration after a username!)

Hello,

Please tell me what you think of the following theme:
www. vbstyles.com/demo/index.php?styleid=26

If most agree, we can get that one implemented as well so users have the choice of their preferred themes.

I greatly prefer the blue white theme, it seems more professional, cheerful and easy to read.

I agree, the blue/white is much better. The only problem is, that it is not your companies colours, however, I still think it is better

I wonder if modifying the blue/white scheme to a less harsh green/white scheme... Keep the Micfo company colors to some respect but made easier on the eyes for some folks...
