New Theme - vBulletin

I really like the new vBulletin Theme that yall have here now but there seems to missing several buttons. Sounds like the theme is not looking in the right place for them or the button images are missing for the directory. Anyway very nice theme. Reminds me of the Movie "The Matrix"!!

Charles,

We like the theme as well, but some works are being done on it as we speak. We needed to immediately give a new look and feel to the forums.

Sincerely,
Amir.

Any chance of an alternative skin? Perhaps something more like the old one? The bright green and black/dark grey isn't a great combination IMO, especially when combined with mid-grey text on dark-grey backgrounds.

We've done some more modifications which make it look better. Let me know what you think.

Sincerely,
Amir.

We purchased the theme. If you're interested, PM me and I will provide you the link to the distributor's web site.

Sincerely,
Amir.

I am sorry to disagree with you!

I am 50 years old and this theme is 10 times more difficult for me to read than the previous one. Please, do not choose a theme only to satisfy the young customers and think about the older ones. It is like using small characters on price tags at the foodstore on the top shelf, 20% of the customers can't read it for different reasons...

I also find the colors aggressives, the old light blue was a color more pleasing and relaxing. A known and published fact from any psychologist.

I would greatly appreciate to be able to revert to the older theme in my CP.

Brilliant! this scheme is the work of a genius.

I guess it might bring the death of the forum, not a thing that micfo management will mourn...
But I treasure my eyesight, I have been on this page too long already for my health, bye-bye.

We all have different opinions and doesn't make anyone of us wrong for being that way. That's when compromising comes in. How about we allow users to be able to chose between few themes so everyone's happy?

And coder, there's no scheme whatsoever, yet if that's how you feel, no one can change it.

Sincerely,
Amir.

If we could choose a theme that is tied to our profile I think that would make everyone happy. That way the majority can have the theme they want.

On this one I trust Amir, I don't really believe this would have been done on purpose. In fact I would not have believed that it was possible to get such an effect with a colour scheme if one tried.
I don't normally care much about themes, one way or the other, as long as they are easy to read, but this colour combination is a disaster. It's pleasant to look at in the first couple of seconds, but more than a minute and the whole screen appears to be vibrating and my eyes start blinking. The worse is that the effect lingers minutes after I have gone. I am now composing this on an editor as I could not do that on the forum, and the whole thing is still vibrating.
It may be because I have a CRT, with better contrast than a LCD, I don't know, but it's bad. I'll really have to give up on the forums.

It's hard to believe others, including Amir don't get the same mammoth visual effect.

I think the green is hideous and we need to have a second option

OK - Here's what we going to do. We going to give the option to the users so each can choose to have their preferred theme on the forums through the control panel. I will update this thread once it's completed.

Meanwhile we work on the current green theme to make it easier on eyes.

Sincerely,
Amir.
