Question colorado Server - E-mails

Hello all

Seams that there is a big issue with colorado server.

I´m micfo client from 06/17/2006 i have about 150 domains ( clients ) and nobody can send e-mails from this server to hotmail or msn.

Then answear from support was :

Hello,

Yes, The servers IP address is blocked at hotmail and due to that you are facing such problem. I have request hotmail for IP removal from blocklist. As soon as they removed it from their blocklist your issue will get resolved.

Regards,
Max T.

5 days latter still all the same, no solution for this issue. After a second e-mail to suppor center i got this answear :

Hello,

Your account is hosted on shared server all clients emails go through same ip if someone (from the same server)do spam to hotmail ip of the server will get blacklist. We can search from logs and suspend accounts who did spamming but we can't prevent any account from spamming. So if you want reliable mail service then i would like to suggest you please upgrade your plan to VPS so that your and your clients email will go through your own ip if they are not spam your vps ip will never get blacklist by any domain.

Let us know if you have any other question or problem in this regard we will be glad to assist you.

Regards,
Angelo J .

He is telling me to change my services to a VPS ?

Well i dont want to have VPS it is not for my needs and micfo knows that.

So ... after this time i have lose 3 clients because i´m not able to send the payment detaills to this clients e-mail´s because all have hotmail or msn.

If somebody from support read this ... please let me know if here is no solution and if i need to change after 2 years to outer web hosting company.

Unfortunately this issue is shared by almost all Shared hosting companies and packages. All shared hosting packages from any hosting company use the shared server IP. It's very difficult to guarantee 100% non-spamming Ip address UNLESS you get your own VPS/dedicated with its own IP address(es).

I've heard that hostgator uses a rotating IP address schema which mitigates this situation; but I'm not sure if it's accurate.

Also - if you have 150 domains(clients) - I recommend going the VPS or Dedicated route.

Thanks

If that server IP address is listed as a blacklist (spamming) IP address and has NOT been cleared up, then unfortunately no.

Keep in mind this happens to pretty much ALL shared hosting providers at one time or another.

Please read my posts and try to understand it before criticizing the service.

Of all people - if you want to blame - go blame the spammers.
